“A confession?” Aiden echoed.
“I don’t have any Speedos.”
“Thank God.” Aiden slid his hands down Finn’s sides until his fingers gripped the hem of Finn’s T-shirt, yanked it over Finn’s head and tossed it to the floor.
IV
To say Finn found Aiden’s sudden assertiveness a huge turn on was an understatement. He might like to be in control in relation to most of his life, in the bedroom he was more than happy to be told what to do—as Aiden was about to find out.
The look of raw heat in Aiden’s eyes as his gaze traveled over Finn’s naked torso had Finn’s toes curling in his shoes, anticipation sweet and heady filling his senses. Taking a couple of steps back, he popped the button on his pants and eased them down his hips. He watched Finn push them to the floor, using the denim to toe out of his sneakers and kick them aside in a tangle of fabric. His gaze never leaving Aiden’s, he hooked his thumbs into the waistband of his briefs and eased them down. A surge of power shivered up his spine as Aiden’s eyes darkened impossibly further when his cock bobbed free of its confinement and slapped obscenely against his belly.
“Jesus, Finn,” Aiden breathed, his gaze like a caress on Finn’s skin. “You’re beautiful.”
Finn swallowed hard, unsure he would even be able to speak, and when he did his voice cracked on the words. “Tell me what you want.”
Whether it was his tone, or his expression, Finn couldn’t tell, but Aiden’s green eyes narrowed for a few moments as he stared at Finn, then he said firmly, “On the bed, and spread those long legs for me.”
His excitement amplified and coiled in Finn’s belly like a spring. He gave a brief inclination of his head to show he acknowledged the instruction, and was surprised he didn’t get carpet burn on the soles of his feet in his haste to carry it out. Lying back against the pillows in the middle of the bed, Finn bent his knees and let his legs drop open, baring himself to Aiden’s hungry gaze. Finn’s heartbeat increased at the sight of Aiden’s obvious desire straining against the fabric of his cargo pants, and couldn’t prevent the whimper falling from his lips as Aiden began to remove his clothes.
Moments later, naked and beautiful, Aiden crawled purposefully up the bed toward him. Aiden’s predatory stance hardened Finn’s throbbing cock impossibly further. His thighs quivered as Aiden settled between them, his gaze unwavering and intent crystal clear—Finn was his and he was going to take him.
Finn tried to keep his breathing slow, but he was having trouble remembering how to pull air in and push it back out again. Aiden smoothed his hands tantalizingly slow across the sensitive skin of Finn’s inner thighs and his muscles jumped beneath their touch. “Aiden,” he whined as those teasing fingers almost, but not quite brushed his sac.
“Shh,” Aiden soothed, the gleam in his eye wicked and full of promise. “I’m going to suck you, and you’re going to do whatever it is you need to do not to cum until I tell you to. Understood?”
Fuck—death by orgasm—my mother will be so proud. Finn swallowed and licked his lips, his voice husky and wrecked as he hissed his acknowledgement. “Yes.”
The moment Aiden’s tongue dipped into his slit, Finn’s hips jolted and he bit his bottom lip to stop himself from screaming. The anticipation, the need, the heat between them was all too much. If he managed to hold himself together until Aiden gave him permission to let go, he’d deserve a fucking medal. Aiden took the head into his mouth and swept his tongue around the glans, sucking delicately, sending sparks of sensation through every muscle and nerve-ending. The sight and feel of Aiden bobbing up and down on his shaft was delicious torture. Finn wanted to close his eyes in the hopes he would be able to keep control if he didn’t have to watch, but at the same time he didn’t want to close his eyes for fear of missing one second of that beautiful mouth stretched wide around his cock. I can’t do it—fuck—I can’t do it. He panted harshly. “Aiden, please.”
Aiden pulled off with an obscene wet sound, a ribbon of saliva between his mouth and Finn still joining them. “Not yet,” he rasped, his voice low and rough. “You taste so good. I’m not done.”
Finn whimpered, the warm wetness of Aiden’s saliva trickling down his shaft and over his balls as Aiden sucked him in down to the root. He gripped handfuls of his own hair, tight, harsh handfuls, desperately needing to be grounded if he had any hope of stopping himself from shattering into a million pieces. “Fuck, your mouth,” he moaned. “Aiden, oh God, yes, right there.” Finn felt as though he were drowning as he was lifted on wave after wave of sensation. His control was now practically non-existent and he knew he hung on by the thinnest of threads. Batting frantically at Aiden’s head, he almost sobbed out his plea. “I gotta… Aiden, please let me… baby, I need it—please!”
Aiden gripped the base of Finn’s shaft as he pulled off and grunted, “Okay, baby. I want to taste you, cum for me.”
That was all she wrote. The moment Aiden’s lips closed around him and he loosened his grip, Finn’s orgasm hit him like a freight train, pulsing from him in white hot bursts that clouded his vision as he emptied himself into Aiden’s mouth. “Fuck, fuck, fuck,” Finn’s hips jerked involuntarily into Aiden’s mouth, running on the most basest of instincts, chasing and holding onto every moment of pleasure until he was completely boneless and spent. Finn collapsed against the pillows, his chest heaving as his muscles twitched in the aftermath of his orgasm and he tried to catch his breath. He was so busy basking he didn’t even notice Aiden retrieving the lube from his overnight bag. His first clue being the coolness of the gel on Aiden’s fingers as he circled his hole. “Jesus!” Finn yelped.
“You are so beautiful,” Aiden whispered, pressing kisses to Finn’s belly.
Finn’s back arched as Aiden’s finger slipped inside, the burn of preparation catching his breath in his throat. That first moment was always the worst but Aiden gently worked him through the discomfort until Finn was bearing down on the two fingers pumping in and out of his ass, needing more, needing Aiden—and he told him so in no uncertain terms. “Aiden, get the fuck inside me—now!”
“Such a bossy bottom,” Aiden chuckled softly. “Don’t just lie there giving orders. Jack me while I open the condom.”
Finn curled his fingers around Aiden’s length and jacked him hard as Aiden tried to tear the foil packet. He would have taken the time to flash a smug smile when Aiden’s hands shook so much under his ministrations he kept dropping the condom, if his ass hadn’t been crying out for Aiden’s cock. “Aiden, you’re killing me!” he growled in frustration.
“Shut up, I’m doing it,” Aiden shot back, finally managing to open the packet, which he tossed aside. He slapped Finn’s hand out of the way and rolled the thin latex sheath down his shaft.
Finn cried out as Aiden’s girth stretched him wide and pushed inside his channel. “Baby, please.”
“What do you want?” Aiden urged. “Tell me what you want.”
“Fuck me. Jesus Christ, just shut up and fuck me!”
Aiden took instruction well, he was more than happy to note, because Finn found himself almost literally fucked into next week. Setting up an immediate punishing pace, Aiden’s hips snapped time and time again, the thick blunt head of his cock brushing against Finn’s prostate, igniting a fire so hot Finn was afraid he would burst into flames.
Unbelievably, Finn’s cock was hard again, without even being touched. It had to be the fastest recovery time he had ever managed, and his thighs shook with the effort to keep his second orgasm at bay. But he was only human. He took himself in hand and jacked in long strokes, passing his thumb over the leaking head.
“God, Finn. I’m coming,” Aiden grunted, his rhythm faltering as his hips pumped in and out. “Come on, baby, do it, let it go.”
Two more strokes and hot wetness spilled over Finn’s fingers and spurted up his chest. Seconds later, Aiden slammed into him, stilled and Finn felt Aiden’s orgasm shudder through him in hot pulses. Curling his fingers into Aide
n’s hair, Finn pulled him down to mash their lips together, their tongues dueling for control of the kiss until Aiden collapsed on top of him and buried his face against the curve of Finn’s shoulder.
Wrapping his arms around Aiden, Finn held him close, defying even a breath to be able to come between them. He didn’t think he’d ever felt so sated, so complete. The connection between him and Aiden had strengthened tenfold after their rather unfortunate meeting, and after their physical coming together, that connection had only intensified. In that one moment, Finn realized with a startling clarity there was nowhere else in the world he wanted to spend forever than with the man in his arms.
“Fuck,” Aiden mumbled against his skin.
“Yep, we did,” Finn replied, wincing as Aiden left him and then scrambled off the bed to deal with the condom in the en suite bathroom. He gazed up at the ceiling fan spinning slowly above them as he listened to the water running in the sink. Moments later the faucet was shut off and Aiden padded back into the room with a damp washcloth. “That was a-fucking-mazing,” Finn said on a contented sigh, taking the cloth Aiden held out to him and quickly wiping himself clean. Aiden took the cloth and eighty-sixed it back into the bathroom before jumping back into bed beside Finn and draping his arm across Finn’s waist, snuggling in close, his gentle breaths warm on Finn’s skin.
“That was pretty epic,” Aiden replied, rubbing a fist into his eye and looking to Finn exactly like a sleepy little boy. “I think you broke me.”
“Me?” Finn exclaimed, tickling his fingers into Aiden’s ribs. “You’re not the one who’s got to sit on a cushion for the rest of the weekend.”
Aiden snorted inelegantly. “You’re gonna need more than a cushion by the time I’m finished with you.”
“Oh, really?” Finn chuckled. “What makes you think I’m the only one who’s gonna need something soft to sit on?”
“No,” Aiden drew out the word and raised himself on an elbow to stare down at him. “I don’t bottom—ever.”
Finn was surprised at the finality in Aiden’s tone and he wanted to dig deeper, but he didn’t. This wasn’t the time or the place for that discussion—but it would definitely be a subject he would be broaching at some point.
Finn pulled Aiden down and kissed him softly, a shiver sliding down his spine at the taste of himself lingering on Aiden’s tongue. “I don’t know about you,” he began. “But I’m totally fucked out. What do you say we take a shower and finally get those Speedos on?”
“You said you didn’t have any Speedos.”
“I lied.” Finn grinned widely as he scrambled out of bed and headed for the en suite with Aiden in hot pursuit.
Ninety minutes later, after a joint shower that turned into mutual hand jobs while panting into each other’s mouths, Finn and Aiden lay side by side on two of the sun loungers dotted around the pool. Finn turned his head in Aiden’s direction and grinned at him from behind his shades. Could this day get any more perfect? Oh wait, here came a waiter with their cocktails, so the answer was, why yes, yes, it could. Taking the refreshing non-alcoholic cocktail the waiter handed him, Finn relaxed against the lounger cushion and sipped the umbrella festooned concoction. He wanted to give himself a round of applause. This had to be the best idea he’d ever had. A beautiful hotel, the sun warming his skin, a drink in his hand and Aiden by his side. There was quite literally nothing that could spoil their weekend.
“Aiden? My God, it is you!”
Finn pushed his sunglasses up onto the top of his head and lifted a hand to shield his eyes as he stared at the rippling muscles wrapping themselves around his boyfriend—what? For a split second he hoped what looked like over six feet of pretty covered in a drop dead gorgeous shell was just an enthusiastic member of staff. But he doubted the hotel promoted such over-familiarity with their customers, and Aiden didn’t exactly look as though he objected. If Finn was to go by the way he returned the man’s exuberant display of affection. On the verge of clearing his throat to remind Aiden he was still there, Finn’s stomach would have dropped into his shoes if he’d been wearing any when Aiden exclaimed.
“Zach!”
Zach? Seriously? The Mary Poppins ex? Fuck.
“I can’t believe it!” Zach oozed affectionate charm, and far too much of it as far as Finn was concerned, as he settled himself on the end of Aiden’s sun lounger. “What are you doing here?”
Aiden reached out and grabbed Finn’s hand, flashing him a smile so bright Finn almost felt guilty for the fingers of jealousy scratching low in his belly. “We’ve escaped for some us time,” he replied. “Zach, this is Finn Thomas, my partner. Finn, this is Zach Armstrong, an old friend.”
“Please,” Zach said, mock-affronted. “We were a bit more than friends, Aiden.”
The man held his hand out in greeting, but there was something about the look in his narrowed gaze that Finn didn’t like. As much as he didn’t like the hand that still lingered on Aiden’s thigh. In that single stare, Finn got the distinct feeling he’d been weighed, measured and found to be no competition whatsoever. He took Zach’s hand and shook it firmly.
“Nice to meet you… sorry, Finn was it?”
Finn smiled, hoping it didn’t look as false as it felt. “That’s right, so I guess that makes you Zach. Good to meet you.”
“I guess it’s a little awkward for you, running into the ex and everything,” Zach’s chuckle sounded a little affected to Finn’s ears and even if he could have stopped his next comment, he didn’t think he would have.
“I’d say it’s probably more awkward for the ex… which would be you.”
“So,” Aiden interrupted, obviously sensing the sudden frostiness in the air. “What are you doing here? I thought the job in Seattle was perfect?” Finn swallowed hard. That was the reason they’d split up. Aiden had told him Zach had been offered a dream job in Seattle and hadn’t hesitated in taking it, seemingly without a backward glance at Aiden and Kaylee.
“It was, it still is,” Zach replied, running a hand through his black hair. “Except the vice-presidency of sales and marketing became available back here, they offered it to me and I accepted.” Finn frowned at the wealth of meaning in the man’s tone when he added, “It felt like a sign, you know? As though something were telling me to come home.”
Is this guy serious? I’m right here!
“I’m happy for you,” Aiden said, giving Zach a quick hug.
There was no better moment to suddenly discover you aren’t as happy about your boyfriend’s demonstrativeness, than when his arms were wrapped around the man who used to share his bed. A wonderful little factoid Finn was currently becoming acquainted with, but could have done without.
“Zach, there you are.”
Thankful for the interruption for no other reason than Zach had to let Aiden go to respond to the auburn haired guy approaching them, Finn sipped at his cocktail, wishing it wasn’t quite so alcohol free. Although he had to admit his slightly pissed off ego was massaged a little by the appraising look and interested smile the newcomer gave him—he was only human after all.
“Martin, come and meet Aiden Reid, an old friend of mine.”
Zach motioned to the guy but the gaze he kept on Finn did not waver, leaving him in no doubt the emphasis was solely for his benefit. He’d spent less than fifteen minutes in Zach Armstrong’s company and only a few words had passed between them, but Zach had made his intentions clear—he’d come back to claim more than the new VP job.
“Aiden Reid?” Martin held out his hand and shook Aiden’s vigorously. “Wow, good to finally meet you. I feel like I already know you. Zach hasn’t stopped yapping about you since he got back.”
Are you fucking kidding me? Did the two of you rehearse? Finn was beginning to feel as though he’d stepped into a bad situation comedy, either that or Ashton Kutcher was hiding behind a palm tree pissing himself laughing. He glanced down as Aiden’s fingers curled tightly around his and he smiled at him. Finn returned Aiden’s smile
as he once again introduced Finn as “my partner” and his heart fluttered in his chest and he had a mini epiphany.
Zach might have better dress sense than him, even half naked he looked as though he’d stepped out of the pages of GQ, and be vice-president of some big shot advertising firm; hell, he might even be the Mary Poppins of exes, practically perfect in every way, but there was one thing he definitely wasn’t—he wasn’t Monty the fucking Meerkat. Finn lifted Aiden’s hand and pressed his lips to his knuckles. If Zach Armstrong thought Finn was going to step down with a smile and make it easy for him, he was in for a big surprise.
V
“I can’t believe you’re making me do this.”
Aiden swallowed the chuckle that threatened to escape at the sight of the disgruntled five year old wearing Finn’s face. “It’ll be fun,” he said, his gaze traveling the planes and curves of Finn’s chest, taking in the dark red swim shorts resting on Finn’s knees then continuing down long muscular legs to his surprisingly slender feet in battered flip-flops.
Zach had introduced Martin to them as one of his colleagues, and explained they and the four other members of Zach’s immediate team were at the hotel on a “get to know the new boss” weekend. During the ensuing conversation, Zach had invited the two of them to join them in an impromptu volley ball tournament on the beach after lunch. Aiden had refused… at first; but he’d forgotten how persuasive Zach could be when he wanted his own way—hence Finn’s get-up.
Aiden padded across the plush carpet in his bare feet to kiss the smile back onto Finn’s mouth. After putting a smile back on Finn’s face with the first kiss and a semi-boner in his shorts with the second, Aiden couldn’t help the smug grin on his own lips. “I need to brush my teeth, then we can go.”
